We had fun this last Saturday celebrating Macaylee's first birthday. We were sad that Macaylees little friend Issac and his family were not able to join us due to our two oldest girls coughs, but, Auntie Rachel and Uncle Jeremy were still able to join in the fun (Thank you Rachel for the cute cake).
Macaylee is our little serious/quiet/contemplative one. She was not very interested in opening presents, or maybe that is because her two helpers did not give her very long to try and open her gifts before she was helped. She also is our first little girl who did not enjoy eating her piece of cake. I think that she only took two small tastes, but that did not stop her from making a mess of she slice. Here are a few picture of the festivities.

Anna,
Your blog is beautiful! It is gentle and quiet and peaceful- just like you. Hannah was wondering where you found the background. I thought it so interesting that we are reading so many of the same books. I really loved Everyday Talk. You might want to put Because He Loves Me and Helpmate by Design on your to-do list, both by Elyse Fitzpatrick. Your book review on Shopping for Time was also superb, really well done.

An absolutely beautiful photo of the women in Chris' heart. Stunning you all are. So good to see the girls as they grow. When I saw Macaylee's face smeared with the cake I thought, "Poor Baby"!
Molly,
Thank you for your sweet comments. The blog background is from thecutestblogontheblock.com. They have many cute free backgrounds, one being the background that I am using. If you go to the main paige of my blog at the top left corner you will find a link to thier sight.
Marilee,
So good to hear from you! Macalyee was done, when that picture was taken. She tried to rub her face and that is what happens when you have cake all over your hands.
Anna :-)
