Backyard Camping Fun!

This last weekend the girls had so much fun camping in the backyard with daddy! I know what many of you are thinking: "Why camp in the backyard and not at a camp ground?" There are two reasons: 1) We do not have all the camping equipment (even this tent was borrowed), and 2) I am just not a "dirt" kind of person. I grew up camping and greatly enjoy God beautiful creation but do not want to sleep out in the dirt where there are bugs (I know...pretty pitiful). Nonetheless that girls had such fun!

The evening started for the girls with setting the tent up with daddy and mommy and then filling it with sleeping bags, pillows and the oh so important blankets.

Then we had fun roasting hot dogs over our little fire pit for dinner. And then marsh mellows for smores.

Then they changed into their pajamas and went off to bed. We were so blessed to have a cool evening with no humidity (it even got down into the 50s that night!). Who wants to camp when it's hot and humid?

It was so fun listening to all the giggling and story telling going on outside my window that night. What a special night with dad!
