Madisen ~ 1st grade
- Our core curriculum this year is My Fathers World 1st grade.
- We are adding Singapore Math 1a and 1b.
- For her personal devotions she is working her way through Your Story Hour volume 1.
- We will be using a Reason For Handwriting.
- Madisen will also be doing ballet and piano.
- Chris will be doing a little bit of Spanish with the girls this year.
- We also add many wonderful books to all of this. We have greatly enjoyed listening to many books on CD from Lamplighter Theatre and a few Foucus on the Family Radio Theatre, when we are driving in the car.
Miriam ~ Pre K
- The core of what she will be doing is Rod and Staffs Preschool ABC's Series.
- We will also be using this letter of the week curriculum.
- She will also be using Starfall.com and literacycenter.net
- Miriam will also be using many of the manipulatives below.
Macaylee ~ Preschool
- Macaylee always wants in on the fun and she joins for crafts, projects, reading and bible. I do have a whole slue of activities and manipulatives that I keep her busy with. Here are some of our favorites:
- Lauri Manipulatives
- Coloring Books and crayons
- Bear Counters with colored sorting bowls
- Stickers and paper
- Matchin' Middles
- Box of dried beans with measuring cups and spoons
- Puzzles (Melissa and Doug are some of our favorites)
- Kumon First Steps workbooks
- Play dough
- Lacing cards
- Melissa and Doug Magnetic Dolls
Well, that is all I can think of. Oh and the cabinet pictured above is a new addition to our home. We needed more space to store our school books and things. This sits right beside our kitchen table, and it has been so nice to have everything we need right there. We hope that you all have a blessed school year!
"So whether you eat or drink
or whatever you do,
do it all for the glory of God."
1 Corinthians 10:31

Hi! I found you on the MFW Blog Roll, and I look forward to seeing how your year goes. :^) I am doing ECC with my older girls and K with my two 4-year olds. I didn't get to do MFW K or 1st with my olders because we hadn't found it yet then, but I'm looking forward to both with the youngers. Your family is beautiful...and I'm so sorry for your recent loss (I lost our oldest to miscarriage so I can relate just a little).
Hope you might visit me: http:tinahollenbeck.blogspot.com.
It looks like you have a wonderful year planned!
We are all girls here too! Just wanted to say Hi! and say Happy Schooling!!
