The I'm Board Salution ... I Hope

Today my oldest came to me and informed me that she was bored. Usually when this happens I try to give a few suggestions and ideas of things that she could do. Most of the time my ideas just do not seem good enough. I am just not very good at spur of the moment creativity and I need to work on planning and having activities ready for my little ones.

Tonight, as I was giving a much needed cleaning and re-organizing to our Craft/Activities/Game Closet, I found, and was reminded of, so many things that my girls could play with if only they were thought of and taken out. So I decided to make a Craft/Activities/Game list, so that I would remember all that there is to do. I sat down and wrote everything that I could come up with that could be pulled
out at any time for my little ones to play with: games, toys, activities, manipulative's, puzzles, crafts, etc.

I was pleasantly surprised with how many I came up with. I know that there is a lot more that need to be added to this list, but for now this is a good start. After making up the list, I sat down at the computer typed it up and printed it off and now it is hagging in my closet; nothing fancy, but enough to remind me of what there is to do next time the "I'm boards" come around again or we just need something to do. I hope this will help us to put the wonderful things that the Lord has blessed us with to good use.

Hey Anna,
Thanks for all the good ideas you always have. We have a enclosed pation in our new place and it has become the unoffical play room/craft area. I like the idea of having a list posted with supplies at hand. I hope to get to that place soon. I can't wait for the kids to reap the benefit of that idea. Thanks so much.
