Surprise Tea Party

One of the activities on our summer poster was a tea party. Just before we left for our trip to California (trip pictures coming) we found some time for a tea party. Tea parties are such a big hit with the girls. I think that most of the fun for them comes from picking what they want to eat and mixing the milk and sugar into their tea. It was also fun to have Macaylee join in the fun this time. The tea party was nothing fancy but we still had a wonderful time. Here are a few pictures of the fun.

I made up invitations for each of the girls, which they opened the morning of the tea party. They had so much fun opening the invitations! I was just talking to a friend and she was telling me how her mom would mail her invitation to her. I did not have time to do this but I definitely want to do it for our next tea party.

The food was not really "tea" food but the girls enjoyed it nonetheless. It was just what I was able to scrounge up: just a little of this and a little of that.

Macaylee was too cut e with her tea cup. She spent the first half of the tea party just dipping her spoon into her tea cup and licking it off. Then she started picking up her cup to drink from it. I thought it was cut how the tea cup is about half the size of her little head.
