The Giant Zucchini

It would be an understatement to say that our garden has taken a back seat on our priority list over the last few months. We were diligent to get everything planted that we wanted in the garden.

But after we planted everything, due to pregnancy complications (restricted activities, and very very swollen ankles and legs), we had to cut things down to the basics around here and that did not include the garden. When we finally got back into the swing of things these last few weeks our garden was at the point of no return.

Sunday, when the girls were out back playing, I was looking through the weeds when I found a giant zucchini. I do not know how I missed it a few weeks ago when I was looking at everything (the weeds must have been hiding it). All the girls wanted their picture taken with it so here they are with our giant zucchini. I keep reminding myself that there is always next year for a good garden.

Hi Anna, Loved seeing your girls with the zucchini-a special surprise for them. I imagine your mom and dad have quite a garden so I'm sure they'll share.
Here in blog land I've been amazed at the amount of followers and friends who have dealt with loss-and after listening to Chris's sermon on your Mason I thought it might be witness to others who've gone through deep grief. Such a testimony! I wanted to ask your permission to link it up on my blog so others might take comfort in their own loss.
If this is o.k or not-it's fine-I just was so impressed with it; could you email me and let me know.
May the Lord's grace and comfort continue to cover all of you.
Hugs, Noreen

How funny! I found a huge one hiding on the ground today and it looks like a malnourished watermelon, but a way overgrown zuchinni. Wondering what the inside is going to look like.
