My Father's World

Each month we pick a hymn to learn during our school Bible time. This month we are learning "This Is My Father's World". It is such a blessing to her my little ones learning the words to these wonderful hymns. Many of the hymns they learn become their favorite songs to sing, Macaylee especially enjoys singing "Take My Life and Let It Be" and "Holy, Holy, Holy".

Last week, just a few minutes after singing, "This Is My Father's World" we had this beautiful butterfly land on the screen of our school window.

We took a few minutes to look at it and marvel at God's great creation. What a blessing it was to have this beautiful example of God's creation land right at our window.

This Is My Father's World

This is my Father's world, and to my list'ning ears,
All nature sings and 'round me rings the music of the spheres
This is my Father's World: I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees of skies and seas; His hand the wonders wrought.

This is my Father's world, the birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white, declare their Maker's praise.
This is my Father's world: He shines in all that's fair;
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass, He speaks to me everywhere.

This is my Father's world, O let me ne'er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet.
This is my Father's world: the battle is not done;
Jesus who died shall be satisfied, and earth and heav'n be one.

We have enjoyed using these books to guide us through learning hymns. Each of these books comes with a CD to guide you in learning each hymn. So even if you do not know the hymns yourself or are not musical, you have no excuse because the CD will do all the work!

Oh Anna, we love "Hymns for a Child's Heart too." We used it a great deal a few years ago. And, I just saw your three princesses first day of school pictures, and they are so beautiful!

Praying your school days are full of our Father's blessings, my friend! *Hugs*
